I really enjoyed my stay at Ridgeway Inn in Blowing Rock. The location is fantastic, with easy access to the charming shops and restaurants in town. The accommodations are comfortable and have a rustic feel, although there were a few maintenance issues. The complimentary breakfast was sufficient for one morning, but I would recommend exploring local options if staying longer. Overall, it was a relaxing getaway with a warm atmosphere. 😊🏞️

Rooms

The room was clean and comfortable with updates, but some maintenance issues were noticeable. I appreciated the traditional decor and the cozy layout, especially the small sitting area outside. However, the couch could use some improvement for comfort.

The inn's location is unbeatable! I could walk to all the local attractions, restaurants, and shops in downtown Blowing Rock, which made exploring the area so much easier. I loved being able to park my car and not worry about moving it again during my stay.
Dining
7.0
The complimentary breakfast was adequate, offering yogurt and granola among other options, but I found the selection a bit minimal. I opted to enjoy my coffee while taking in the views from my private balcony, which was a nice touch.
Facilities

The hotel has a quaint, cozy feel with nice amenities like evening receptions and lovely outdoor spaces. However, the showers in some rooms need attention.

6.4/10

I had high hopes for my stay, especially with the beautiful location just steps from Main Street. The room I was in was spacious and had a lovely wood ceiling, but it felt like some updates were long overdue. Overall, the ambiance lacked the charm I remembered, and the service left much to be desired. I'll be considering other options next time I visit Blowing Rock.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious with two queen beds, but not all were updated. I found the decor stark and uninviting, lacking cozy home-like touches. There were cleanliness issues, including a dusty ceiling fan and sticky floors, which detracted from my overall experience.
Service
5.0
While the check-in was friendly, the lack of basic supplies in the room was frustrating. I had to ask for items daily, which is not what I expected from my stay. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unresponsive to concerns, which ultimately impacted my comfort.
Location
9.0
The location was fantastic, just 25 yards from Main Street, making it incredibly convenient to explore the area on foot. This truly was one of the best aspects of my stay, providing easy access to shops and dining.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was minimal, offering just a few yogurt options and coffee. While the people at dining were friendly, the offerings felt a bit lacking compared to what I've experienced at other inns.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had some nice features, but the overall upkeep didn't meet my expectations. The general feel was dated and some facilities were in need of attention while others, like the one-cup Keurig, added a nice touch.

The room was comfortable but showed signs of wear. the bed was just okay, and I noticed the bathroom grout really needed attention.
Service

The staff were friendly and did their best. but I felt management could have been more present, especially when we experienced delays with our room readiness and missing linens.

Ridgeway Inn is perfectly situated near Main Street. being just a short walk from good restaurants, shops, and a beautiful lake walk was a highlight of my stay.
Dining
5.0
The included breakfast was very basic. and the evening wine and cheese offerings felt a bit lackluster, served on paper plates with plastic utensils.
Facilities

The overall facilities seemed tidy yet could benefit from some updates. especially in the lobby and breakfast area, which appeared worn.

My stay at Ridgeway Inn had its ups and downs. The location was absolutely perfect for exploring downtown Blowing Rock, with great shops and restaurants just a short walk away. However, the service left much to be desired, with inconsistent attention to details like room supplies. I appreciated the evening wine and cheese, but it was quite basic and not as inviting as it could have been.

Rooms

The room I stayed in was fairly basic and didn't have the cozy charm I remembered from previous visits. While it was clean, it felt more like a dorm room than a hotel room, lacking warmth and character.
Service
5.0
Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. I found myself needing to ask repeatedly for basic necessities, which was frustrating, especially at the price point I paid. The staff seemed overwhelmed and not particularly attentive.

I had a mixed experience at Ridgeway Inn during my stay. The location was fantastic for exploring downtown Blowing Rock, but unfortunately, the room and service left much to be desired. Some areas need serious attention, particularly housekeeping and room maintenance, but the staff were helpful and accommodating when needed.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was quite basic and showed signs of neglect. There were issues like mold in the shower, dirty floors, and low water pressure. The air conditioning was ineffective, which made my stay uncomfortable, especially given it had a musty smell.
Service
5.0
While the staff seemed friendly and accommodating, the overall service was lacking, especially in keeping rooms stocked with essentials like toilet paper and towels. I found it frustrating to have to request basic necessities daily, as this should have been managed proactively.
Location
8.0
The location is absolutely perfect for anyone wanting to walk to shops and restaurants in Blowing Rock. It's centrally located, making it easy to explore the area on foot, which was one of my favorite aspects of the stay.
Dining
5.0
I found the dining options tidily arranged but lacking variety, primarily focused on high-carb options. A continental breakfast used to be offered, so I missed that aspect during my stay.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities could use a bit of TLC. The lobby was clean, and I appreciated some of the thoughtful touches in the room, like coffee and bath products, but overall, the lack of cleanliness and maintenance in the room was disappointing.
